Follwing up yestersdday's post with some pictures from the parade. The kids with the sign are my nieces and 2 of my nephews. The ten year old boy (with the phone) made the sign and came up with the saying all by himself. A good job by the Newark Star Ledger and props for posting them.

It was great to see a small town come out to welcome home a true hero. It makes you wonder why we only do this for men and women who make the ultimate sacrifice. All our military deserves better every day.
Very true. This tribute is what makes America great, local people out for a local boy. No political photo ops allowed. Remember all politics are local. I have written here in the past about helping guys and girls in uniform buy'em a cup of coffee or pay for their meal if you can. Just say thanks if that is all you can afford, they are so grateful just for the littlest things. Do not forget their families too.
